Curly Hair Care Tips
Everyone who has curly hair has heard the sentence many times: “Your hair is so beautiful, I would like mine to be like that.” That sounds like a very nice compliment, but curly girls know how difficult it is to have neat curls. Curls can be unpredictable, naughty and out of control. The difference between fighting curls and loving them lies in hair care.
Always comb your hair from the ends to the scalp
Untangling your hair from the ends upwards allows you to gently untangle every tangled spot. We advise you to always use a comb with wide teeth to best care for curly hair. This type of hair is the most fragile and every curl is a potential place that can be damaged. A comb with wide teeth separates the curls most gently.
Haircut regularly to avoid cracked ends
Curly hair is demanding and it would be best to let a professional you trust take care of it and take care of it in the right way. Know that cracked ends always mean the “poof” on the head that you do not want. Therefore, it is recommended that those who have curly hair be cut at least once every six to eight weeks.
Use a diffuser to add texture to your hair and highlight curls
If you do not use a diffuser on the hair dryer then you are really missing a lot. This accessory can help you even out curls and add volume to your hair.
How to use the diffuser: When you wash your hair, dry it with a microfiber towel and knead it. Do not rub or twist it into the turban. Apply a heat protectant, as well as other products you use for curls. Insert the hair into the extension and blow dry. Repeat until you get beautifully defined curls. The hair does not have to be completely dry, you can let the curls dry in the air.
Nourish your scalp regularly
In order to nourish the hair root, you must nurture it. For this it is best to use oil (argan, coconut, olive, brahmi…), and you can add egg, mayonnaise or Moroccan red clay powder. The oil or mixture should be rubbed into the scalp and then into the rest of the hair. You can put on a bathing cap and then a towel to help heat up the absorption of nutrients. In addition to this, you can also put a package for curly hair once a week and leave it to work. It will add moisture to curly hair, which is known for constantly crying out for hydration.
Crumpled
Crumpled, crumpled, crumpled! This is the key to beautiful curls and volume. We have already said that the hair should first be crumpled with a towel and dried that way. You can then roll your hair over your head and wrinkle it again. This way you will get volume and nicely defined curls.
Cold rinse
After washing your hair, rinse it with cold water to help it close the cuticle and thus prevent the effect of the broom (all of us curly ones know what this means). If you also apply a hydrating mask, the effectiveness will be even better.
